FAQs
What is EMS and how does it really work?
When exercising, your muscles receive small electrical signals via nerve endings to stimulate a
contraction. Once a muscle has contracted and the nerve is no longer sending a signal, the muscle
relaxes. EMS mimics these signals repeatedly to reproduce the muscle contractions of physical
exercise.
Footplates are not moving or vibrating
The footplates do not move or vibrate. Instead, the sensation is something you will feel through your feet as you gradually increase the intensity level.
I can only feel the sensation on one side
It’s completely normal for some people to feel the stimulation more in one foot or leg than the other. This is because one side of our body is naturally more toned (i.e. your right side if you are right handed and left side if left handed) it is possible that the side which is more toned may respond more vigorously to the EMS stimulation.
I can't feel anything or feel very little
You must have both feet placed on the foot plates. You may also have the ‘intensity’ level too low, increase to a higher level to feel the contractions.
You may find you need to use the highest settings initially. There are 99 intensity levels and these increase in small increments to ensure comfort, which is why there are so many levels. Even if the sensation feels mild at first, the Circulation Booster can still be effective, and sensitivity often improves over time
Air compression leg massage boots, often referred to as pneumatic compression boots, are devices designed to improve circulation, enhance recovery, and provide relief from various symptoms by applying controlled pressure to the legs. In recent years they have garnered attention for their potential benefits in sports recovery, medical rehabilitation, and general wellness.
